OC 's Financial CounselorTM Exit Interview. The primary
purpose of this session is to help you better understand your student loans and give you some general
information on planning and managing your
personal finances. You will explore the different types of student loans, regulations,
repayment options and the consequences of default.
To receive the most benefit from this program, we suggest you have the following items:
When you have your information, you are ready to begin the session. All you will need to do is follow the program all the way through. If you wish to have a copy of any
of the information presented, you will have to print out the individual page.
- A list of all of your educational loans including everything you borrowed in the past.
- If you are unsure of the educational loans you have borrowed, please visit the
NSLDS web site
to obtain this information. This website will reflect the federal loans that you borrowed
and also indicate your loan servicer for each loan.
- If you received one or more of the following loan types from your lending institution,
they will be automatically populated in this exit session:
- Federal Perkins Loan
- Health Professions Student Loan
- Primary Care Loans
- Loans for Disadvantaged Students
- Nursing Student Loans
- Nurse Faculty Loans
- Institutional Loans
- If you received one or more of these loan types, you will need to enter the amount borrowed
in order to complete the exit counseling for that loan program.
Please note that you may have multiple loan servicers for these loan programs:
- Direct Student Loans
- Federal Stafford Loans
- Direct Grad PLUS
- FFEL Grad PLUS
